Since the Marmara earthquake in 1999, Mavi Kalem has been aware that humanitarian aid efforts in disasters should focus on the needs of women and children. For this reason, our priority in the field is to listen to the problems and needs of women and children and to shape our work according to their concerns.

Since February 13th, we have been providing drinking water, women’s and children’s underwear, baby food, diapers and hygiene supplies in Hatay and Adana. We continue to work to support the well-being of women and children with the most basic needs.

Hundreds of individuals, national and international organizations supported us during this process, and with their support, we were able to respond to immediate needs and create a workspace and team that can support earthquake-affected women and children in the long term.

It is our responsibility to use your trust and support in a timely, appropriate and effective manner and we take this responsibility very seriously.
