Water is Life: Access to Clean Water in Hatay
After the February 6 earthquake, access to clean water in Hatay has become one of the biggest challenges facing earthquake survivors in the region. Due to the damage to the infrastructure, there are serious contamination problems in tap water. This situation continues to negatively affect the daily lives of earthquake survivors.
MaviKalem Hatay Provincial Representative Office, in cooperation with AFAD, has installed ready-made water purifiers in container cities. These devices will help earthquake survivors in the region to have easier access to clean water.
These efforts make a tangible contribution to solving the water problem and improving people’s living conditions in Hatay. By focusing on the needs on the ground, we continue to strengthen solidarity and cooperation in the region through such projects.
